TOP-QUALITY ASPHALT SERVICES
A crack seal prevents water from entering and weakening the base and prevents debris from entering cracks and joints. A crack seal is also a great way to prepare the road surface for the top layer of asphalt.
There are several ways to approach asphalt crack seal repair; the method of dealing with them depends on their size and depth. Large cracks should be filled with hot bitumen. In these cases, the cracks will be blown out and cleaned of debris, then filled with refined mix asphalt (with little or no rocks). The asphalt in the cracks will then be compacted using a vibrating plate.
Smaller cracks will typically be filled with a hot rubberised crack seal. A hot rubberised crack seal involves blowing out the cracks with compressed air and filling them with a hot, rubberised fill material. However, crack fill is not a final solution to the problem of cracking’ it is realistically a temporary fix for a more complex issue.
Don't let asphalt damage bring down the appearance and safety of your property.
